Parenting, in simple terms, means raising a child. Parenting is a tough job. Parenting means nourishing and supporting the growth of a child in physical, mental and social spheres.
Each one out there wants to be the best parent. It is a gigantic responsibility. For the new age parents, juggling between professional and personal life can be tiresome and hectic. Shower your kid with love, love, and immense love. Let them know that you love them no matter what. Pour every drop of affection. Make them feel that you care about them, they are precious to you. Give them a daily dose of hugs and kisses!

Children need attention and continuous supervision. Monitor each and every step your child. Keep a track of their daily routine. Be an observant parent.
3. BALANCE BETWEEN BEING STRICT AND FRIENDLY
Be the friend that your child needs. Have fun with them. Make them comfortable around you. For instance, play sports with them this will enhance their physical ability and mental as well; ask them how was their day at school.
Also, balancing between being a friend and parent is quintessential. Emphasize discipline. Teach them the basic ethics and manners, being respectful to others. But don’t be too hard on them.
4. BE THE BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF
Children consider their parents as their role models. They spend 90% of the day with you. Always keep in mind that children have amazing catching power. They are heavily influenced by their parents. Before doing anything remember that your kids look up to you and act accordingly. Little things like talking nicely, behaving politely can help in creating a big impact.
5. EMPATHY
Try to see the world through your child’s eyes, view it from their perspective and it’ll get much easier. Try to understand what goes inside your child’s mind and what would be the best for them.
6. PATIENCE AND CONSISTENCY
Patience is the key. Children are like clay, you need to mold them, shape them. Slowly and gradually they’ll grow, learn and develop. Remember: Rome wasn’t built in a day!
7. MORALS
Your job also involves civilizing your child. At the end of the day, your little one needs to be a good person.
8. COMPARISON AND PRESSURISATION
It is the uttermost important thing-Never ever compare your kids with other kids or demoralize them. It can have a negative emotional and mental impact on them without you even realizing it. It will create an inferiority complex inside their fragile mind.
Always tell them that they are beautiful, valuable, important and unique just the way they are. Don’t nibble the bud. Your child might fail a test but if you make them feel that they are incapable of any good just because that one failure, you’ll fail as a parent!
